Zlatan Ibrahimovic ‘s career as a football player started at a very young age – when he was only six years old boy, he received a pair of football boots from parents and started playing and training, playing in junior clubs – FBK Balkan and FC Rosengard. However, as a teenager Zlatan had many other interests as well, and didn’t actually think about associating his life with football, even planning to stop playing, but his then coach convinced him otherwise. As time has shown, his coach was right – because of the football career, Ibrahimovic’s net worth has increased extremely quickly.

As already mentioned, the first clubs Zlatan played with were junior clubs, but then he moved into the professional ranks. In 2001 Zlatan’s net worth was increased significantly when he was signed by Ajax Amsterdam, but after three years he was transferred to FC Juventus, and the next step in increasing his net worth was playing for Internazionale of Milan – where he played from year 2006 until 2009, before tranmsferring again, this time to play with Barcelona. Then in 2011 Ibrahimovic played with Milan, but Zlatanera’s most recent team is Paris Saint-Germain where he plays together with Zoumana Camara and Blaise Matuidi. Zlatan’s worth to any team is highlighted by him having scored over 250 goals in over 450 games, an average to ensure that his net worth continues to grow, as have the fees for his transfers.

Although eligible for both Bosnia-Herzogovina and Croatia, Zlatan Ibrahimovic opted to play for the country of his birth, and debuted for Sweden at Under 18 level in 1999, but has played in the full international team team since 2001, winning well over 100 ‘caps’ and scoring over 50 goals.

In December 2013, Ibrahimović was ranked bythe British Guardian newspaper as the third-best player in the world, and in December 2014, Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter named him the second-greatest Swedish sportsperson of all time, after Björn Borg.

Talking about personal life, Zlatan has been in a long-term relationship with Swedish actress and model Helene Seger, and the couple has two children and currently live in Paris, but also own a house in Malmo, Sweden.  Ibrahimovic’s estimated net worth could only increase since it was announced that “Zlatan” is now also a trademark with exclusive rights to name clothing, shoes and also sporting goods, and that he is also under contract to Nike, showing himself to be something of a  businessman too.
