More than being the wife of Chester Bennington, the famed late Linkin Park singer, Talinda Ann Bentley became a ray of sunshine when it was most needed. The celebrity spouse and dedicated mother is best known for trying to save the late singer and rescuing him from the brink. Here are lesser-known facts about the former Playboy model who made Chester Bennington strong in ways he never imagined possible.

Her Early Life

Talinda Ann Bentley was born on September 18, 1976. While there is little or no information regarding Bentley’s early life, parents or education, we do know that she was born and raised in Pheonix, Arizona. Bentley apparently wasn’t born with a silver spoon as she began supporting herself right from her teenage years by working a good number of odd jobs including serving as a waitress at a burger joint, teaching elementary pupils and training animals.

Also, Bentley is presumably a music lover as she attended the Los Angeles Music Academy where she graduated from in 1995. She thereafter ventured into modelling in the early 2000s and eventually found a considerable amount of fame. Bentley was thrown into the spotlight when she was featured in the College Girls section of Playboy magazine as a model.

Talinda Ann Bentley is the wife to Chester Bennington, the late Linkin Park lead singer. The couple met and began dating in 2004 through a mutual friend, musician Ryan Shuck while Talinda was a model and Bennington still married to his first wife Samantha Marie Olit. They tied the knot in 2005, shortly after Bennington’s divorce from Olit.

Talinda and Bennington’s union produced three children, a son Tyler Lee and twin daughters Lila and Lilly. Talinda is also a stepmother to three more sons – Jaime from Bennington’s previous relationship with girlfriend Elka Brand, Draven from his marriage to Samantha Olit and Isaiah an adopted son.

The couple’s marriage was a seemingly sweet and enviable one while it lasted. After Chester’s divorce, he claimed he was a broken man and credited Bentley with helping him overcome his struggle with depression. According to Bennington, the divorce was one of the worst and best things that ever happened to him, leaving him so drained and bitter. In fact, for being the fresh air he needed at the time, the Linkin Park singer also dedicated the song Give Me Your Name to his wife, Talinda.

However, after 12 years of marriage, rock fans and the music world at large were shocked when news emerged that Talinda’s husband had taken his own life. Leaving his loving wife and six kids, the seemingly committed husband and father who had just returned from visiting his family in Arizona, hanged himself on July 20, 2017, at his home in Palos Verdes Estates, California. Chester Bennington was alone in his home when he died and his body was discovered by an employee.
