Did He Kill His Wife Shannon Poteet? Know His Arrest Details

Lonnie Poteet has not denied nor accepted the tragic fate of his wife, Shannon Poteet.

His wife went missing in November 1986, and her body was not found until eight years later.

In 1986, her car was found on November 11, three days later of her disappearance.

Shannon’s car was found with blood in the trunk. Oddly, the driver’s seat was pushed back as far as it could go, but she was just a woman of 5’1 stature.

The missing case was put to rest as no hints on her body, and her whereabouts were found that year.

Eight years later, on September 30, 1994, a hiker found a dead body, and dental records confirmed that it was Shannon’s.

Lonnie was immediately named the prime suspect as Shannon was about to divorce him back in 1986 and was planning to take sole custody of their daughter.

Many of Lonnie’s peers have also suggested Lonnie as the murderer, given the miserable marriage that Shannon was in.

Lonnie was violent, shot-tempered, unemployed, and unfaithful.

Though most evidence suggests the murderer was Lonnie, it is yet to be confirmed until ‘Cold Justice’ airs the complete episode.

Thus, not much on his arrest details can be said at the moment.
