With over thirty-five nominations, five television series appearances, and over forty-five film credits to her name, it is very safe to declare Zoe Saldana one of Hollywood’s best actress of all time.

Saldana broke into stardom as a member of the theatre group, Faces. She became a superstar after performing with the group before a large audience. Following an impressive performance, she was offered her first on-screen role in the television series, Law & Order (1999). Zoe scored her first movie role the following year in Center Stage wherein she portrayed the character of a talented ballet dancer.

Being a phenomenal actress, Zoe went on to land more acting gigs, appearing in movies such as Get Over It as Maggie, Crossroads as Kit, Dirty Deeds as Rachel Buff, The Curse of Father Cardona as Flor, and many more. Her big break, however, came in 2009, when she was cast as Neytiri in the widely acclaimed science fiction film, Avatar and as Nyota Uhura in the 2009 space opera movie, Star Trek.

Over the course of her acting career, Zoe has featured in so many blockbusters films as well as several universally acclaimed television series. Her movie credits aren’t limited to Star Trek into Darkness (2013), Star Trek Beyond (2016), Colombiana (2011), Live by Night (2016) and, her rare acting talent has been noted in television series such as Law & Order: Special Victims (2004), Comedy Bang! Bang! (2013), and Rosemary’s Baby (2014). The star’s recent Hollywood films are In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017) and Avengers: Infinity War (2018).

Prior to the actress’ career in the movie industry, her first love was dancing. Saldana developed a strong love for dancing while she was living in the Dominican Republic. She later joined the ECOS Espacio de Danza Academy to hone her dancing skills. While she was at the Academy, Zoe was taught various aspects of dance but she eventually developed a soft spot for ballet dance. The entertainer later stopped practicing ballet because she didn’t have the feet; this is according to what she told Vanity Fair Magazine in an interview.

Their marital relationship has produced three lovely sons – twins Cy Aridio and Bowie Ezio Perego-Saldana who were born in 2014 and Zen Perego-Saldana (born 2017). The couple once shared that they intend to teach their children both Spanish and English because they want to speak both languages around them.

They spent eleven years together before their shocking separation. Saldana has also been romantically linked to American actor/producer Bradley Cooper, whom she dated from 2011 to 2013.
