Alyssa Bustamante is in prison in 2021. She was convicted of murdering her neighbor. She was sentenced to life imprisonment with the possibility of conditional release, and a consecutive sentence of 30 years.

She pre-planned the murder. On October 21, 2012, she asked her younger sister to bring Olten to the forest nearby their homes to hang out. The victim used to live four houses down from Bustamante, as mentioned on Wikipedia.

After Olten reached the designated place, Alyssa strangled her, slit her throat, and stabbed her in the chest. She, then, buried her body in the grave that she dug five days before in the woods behind her house. She covered the grave with the leaves.

However, she could not hide her sin and was found out after a day of the murder. The authority questioned her and seized her diary where she recorded the evidence of her crime.
