The real name of the popular American musician Tyga is Michael Ray Stevenson, and he has established himself in a number of artistic disciplines, including rapping, singing, songwriting, acting, TV hosting, and social media influencing.

Following a number of independent albums, Tyga signed a recording deal with Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records, and Republic Records in 2008.

The album Careless World: Rise of the Last King, featured smash songs including “Rack City,” “Faded” with Lil Wayne, “Far Away” with Chris Richardson, “Still Got It” with Drake, and “Make It Nasty,” was his subsequent major label debut. He followed that up in 2013 with Hotel California and in 2015 with The Fan of a Fan: The Album, a joint project with Chris Brown.

Tyga’s subsequent album, The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty, was independently released in June 2015 as a result of differences with Young Money. Just 5,000 equivalent album copies of the album, which was executive produced by Kanye West, were sold in its first week of release, making it his lowest-selling album at the time.

Tyga’s 2017 single “Taste” with Offset earned the number eight slot on the Billboard Hot 100, earning his first Top 40 hit since “Ayo” with Chris Brown in 2015. This is despite the fact that his past music received dismal sales and bad reviews. Afterward, the song was included in his seventh studio album, Legendary, which was published in 2019.
