The talented singer was born to Allywyn Kelly (father) and Laura Kelly (mother) on December 14, 1992 and grew up in Wildomar, California. While not much has been revealed about her childhood, we do know that she attended Chaparral High School and spent much of her young days learning music.

Tori Kelly grew up loving music from parents who trained her and Noah (her brother) to love all musical genres. They equally encouraged her to take part in various hunting shows like the Star Search, America’s Most Talented Kids and so many others. She had a record deal with Geffen Records at one time, but it was later canceled due to creative differences between her and the record label.

The songs received multiple views on YouTube. Scooter Braun (the American talent manager, entrepreneur, investor and entertainment executive) directed them and later pitched them to Capitol Records, with which they agreed. Since then, Tori has released several albums, but her album Unbreakable Smile, released in 2015, remains her most successful work. Her song Nobody Loves became her first Billboard Hot 100 appearance.

She is not only a songwriter, producer and singer. Tori is also a voice actress who appeared in a 2016 animated film called Sing as a shy teenage elephant named Meena.

Tori started her music career despite her failures. Although devastated by the energy she put into it, her efforts to learn guitar and compose more songs she recorded on her computer paid off after her release from You Up YouTube had over a million subscribers.

In addition, numerous record labels and musicians offered their collaborations, including Professor Green (the British rapper), who featured Kelly in his song Lullaby . This introduced Tori Kelly to the U.K audience as the song rose to number four in the UK singles chart and it was her first UK top ten hit. MTV also aired Kelly’s performances for several weeks. As her public image grew, she became a brand ambassador for William Rast and Justin Timberlake’s clothing line.
