Thanasi Kokkinakis’ parents, Voula and Trevor Kokkinakis moved to Australia from Greece. He was born shortly after, and the tennis player also holds Greek citizenship.

Kokkinakis has been ranked in the top 69 worldwide in singles position by The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), which he first obtained on 8 June 2015. He won an ATP Tour title in singles and performed his best Major singles at the 2015 French Open as he reached the third round.

Thanasi has a career-high doubles ranking in the world at No. 17, which he earned on 31 October 2022. He got the title after 2022 Australian Open and reached the semifinals of the 2022 Miami Open with countryman Nick Kyrgios.

Who Are Thanasi Kokkinakis Parents Voula And Trevor?

Thanasi Kokkinakis’ parents, Voula and Trevor Kokkinakis, also played tennis. He has inherited his sporting genes from his athletic father and mother.

Voula Kokkinakis is Kokkinakis’s mother, and his father’s name is Trevor Kokkinakis. As for their profession, his dad is an engineer, and his mom is a stay-at-home mom or homemaker.

Trevor, also known as Tryfon, hails from Kalamata, Greece. At the same time, his mother, Voula or Paraskevi, comes from Tripoli, Greece, as they are originally from Greece and are both immigrants of Greece.

But there’s a slight confusion about Thanasi’s nationality. He was born in Adelaide to Greek immigrant parents, that’s why he is an Australian nationality. Kokkinakis holds Greek citizenship and is a citizen of Perivolakia Pylos.

Thanasi’s parents are really encouraging. If his parents had not been there to encourage and support him in his athletic journey, he would not be where he is now.

Thanasi Kokkinakis Siblings: Christina And Pan Kokkinakis

Trevor and Voula Kokkinakis have three kids together. Their names are Panayoti Kokkinakis ,Christina Kokkinakis and Thanasi Kokkinakis.

Thanasi seems to be the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Kokkinakis, as he already has a sister named Christina and an older brother called Panayoti, also known as Pan.

Thanasi mentions that he is inspired by his elder brother to take on an interest in sports. At the age of 7 or 8, he was introduced to tennis through his brother Panayoti and started playing with him. And now, he has managed to build a fulfilling career in this sport.

Nevertheless, he seems close to his sister and brother as he has a close relationship with them.

Thanasi is verified as @the_kokk1on Instagram with followers of around 300K. And as we can trace his brother’s account from one of the photos with him tagged in it, his brother Panayoti has around 500 followers with a private account named @snappypan.

Thanasi’s Sister Christina

Christina Kokkinakis, named @christina__k, has a private Instagram account with about 900 followers. Whereas her husband, Wil De Souza, named @wil_matic on Instagram, could be seen with around 600 followers, where we can see how Christina and Wil are also a little more in sports and athletics.

Scrolling through his Instagram, we can trace a very warming but also heartbreaking moment for the couple as they can be seen holding two premature babies in their arms on December 2021.

Wil writes on the post mentioning the babies named Frederico Tryfon De Souza and Elias Lourenco De Souza. And he continues to write, stating those babies to rest peacefully, assuring them they’ll always be remembered.
