Stephanie was the middle child of a real-estate developer father, and a mother who worked as a hairstylist. The moment she reached her teenage years, she launched her modeling career; encouraged by her stunning looks, she appeared in local newspapers of her hometown, and department stores, while also reaching the finals of the first installment of the Elite Model Management Look of the Year modeling contest. While the contest lasted, she caught the attention of John Casablancas and the two started a romantic relationship and moved to New York, although he was married and she just 16.

However, Stephanie became focused on her career and in the late ‘80s and early ‘90s reached stardom by appearing in numerous popular publications, which increased her net worth to a large degree. In 1993 she became a Victoria’s Secret Model, and graced runways for the lingerie retailer until 1999, further increasing her wealth and her presence in the world of modelling. From the early 2000s, her presence in the modeling industry began to decline, still, she was a part of the Gap campaign in 2006, and was also a part of the fall/winter 2007/2008 campaign for Salvatore Ferragamo, which certainly added to her wealth.

Aside from modeling, Stephanie has tried herself as an actress, but aside from the role of Helen Frankenthaler in the biopic about the painter Jackson Pollock – “Pollock” in 2000 – she didn’t have any notable roles, although appearing in an episode of “Law & Order: Criminal Intent”. She also appeared in the Guns & Roses music video “November Rain” in 1992, as Axl’s bride.

Regarding her personal life, Stephanie is known for her high-profile relationships; when she was only 16 years old, she started a relationship with modeling agent John Casablancas, who was married at the time. However, the two later broke up, and then from 1989 until 1990, she was married to guitarist Tommy Andrews, with whom she has a son, Dylan Thomas Andrews. Her next romantic interest was singer Axl Rose, with whom she was in a relationship from 1991 until 1993. After their break up, Stephanie became involved with billionaire Peter Brant, and in 1995 the two married. They have three children together, including Peter Brant II.
