Three Years After His wedding, Long Made His Pro Wrestling Debut

Long began his career doing errands for Tommy Rich and Abdullah the Butcher wrestlers. In the end, he joined the ring crew and was given the referee title under the name Teddy Long in the Jim Crockett Promotions of the NWA in 1985.

Similarly, he filled in as the referee when Ricky Steamboat earned the NWA World Championship in 1989 at the Chi-Town Rumble competition.

Shortly after that, when he started to make exceptions for heel wrestlers, Long began to take on a malicious persona.

When Long brazenly made a quick count during Clash of the Champions VI in New Orleans on April 2, 1989, Mike Rotunda and “Dr. Death” Steve Williams were able to dispatch The Road Warriors and win the NWA World Tag Team Championship.

The NWA dismissed Long from his refereeing responsibilities following this match.

This was a narrative pulled from Championship Wrestling from Florida, where Long had served as a referee and made several heel decisions in the ring, including one that favored Ron Simmons against Skip Young.

Does Teddy Long Have Kids?

The WWE Hall of Famer has been particularly private about his personal life, considering his social media profiles are filled with information about his career.

However, a statement concerning his grandchildren can be found on his Wikipedia page under the heading “Feud with John Laurinaitis and Eve Torres and becoming senior adviser (2012–2014)”.

Long proposed to Kristal during SmackDown!, a program that aired on June 22, 2007. Kristal sobbed as she exited the ring but subsequently decided to marry him.

For “Theodore Rufus Long” and Kristal’s wedding on September 21, 2007, broadcast of SmackDown! from Atlanta, Georgia, Ron Simmons was announced as the best man on the show on July 27, 2007, of SmackDown!

Due to creative disputes, Marshall soon left the WWE; therefore, the plot never reached a satisfactory conclusion.

He also said that his Twitter and Facebook accounts are essentially business accounts. He merely utilizes that to inform folks where and when he will appear. Therefore, he doesn’t care about having many Facebook friends or other such things.
