Career

Natasha’s first job as a journalist can be traced back to her college days at Vassar where she served as the assistant editor and op-ed columnist for the school’s newspaper. Her insightful political background has its roots from the college newspaper, where she contributed by covering both local and international political news, weekly.

Shortly after college, Bertrand interned as a researcher on EU relations with the Middle East and North Africa for a Spanish firm FRIDE. She also served as a corporate social responsibility intern in a London-based oil and gas firm IPIECA which is focused on human rights and sustainable development.

Bertrand got a major break in the year 2014 when she was accepted to join the editorial team at Business Insider. From editorial intern to reporter to breaking news editor to a senior reporter and then to a political correspondent, Bertrand rose through the ranks with the media firm in a short while. Her next job came in January 2018 as a staff writer with The Atlantic where she covers issues bothering on intelligence, national security, and foreign policy. Bertrand currently works as a reporter for NBC News and also makes appearances on MSNBC. She is renowned for her insightful and non-partisan reporting on the Trump-Russia investigation.

The journalist further became a fan favorite and gained more attention in September 2017 when she wrote a piece analyzing the dismissal of former FBI director James Comey. Her analysis prompted an ‘unprofessional’ response from former White House special counsel, Ty Cobb as well as a consequent backlash from the Twitter community in Natasha’s favor.

Is She Married, Who Is Her Husband?

It is no news that Bertrand loves to keep details of her personal life under the radar. While there are no records of her past relationships, we do know that she has never been married and is currently in a relationship with Bryan Coxwell, a US Army veteran. An Ohio native who lives in New York, Bryan currently works as a security contractor and engineer.
