Jacoby Brissett, a football quarterback for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League, was born in West Palm Beach, Florida, to his parents.

Following his time at Florida, Jacoby went on to play at NC State before being drafted in the third round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots.

He was traded following his first season to the Indianapolis Colts, where he was the primary starter in 2017 and 2019. Brissett then played for the Miami Dolphins in 2021 before joining the Browns the following year.

The athlete was a true freshman at Florida in 2011 and served as a backup to starter John Brantley. After the footballer was injured in October, he started his first two career games. Jacoby’s first career start came against No. 1 LSU.

In the 41-11 loss, the quarterback passed for one touchdown, 94 yards, and two interceptions. Brissett completed 18-of-39 throws for two touchdowns, 206 yards, and four interceptions in eight games.

Quick Facts:

Jacoby Brissett Was Born To His Parents In West Palm Beach, Florida

Jacoby Brissett is 29 years old and was born on December 11, 1992. The athlete was born to parents in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The Florida native has not yet revealed any information about his father to the public, and it appears that his father was not present in their lives.

Jacoby was raised by his single mother, Lisa Brown, who is one of the most incredible women he has ever met, and he considers himself fortunate to have been born to such a lovely mother.

The footballer’s mother has shown her goodness by sacrificing her life for the sake of her child. Without his mother, Jacoby’s life would have been exceedingly difficult.

Brissett will be eternally thankful to his mother for raising him and encouraging him to become the man he is today. There is no mention of the athlete having any siblings in the press, and it appears that Brissett is Lisa’s sole son.

Brissett Girlfriend: Who Is Sloan Young?

Jacoby Brissett began his collegiate career at Florida, where he was likewise pressed into action right away. He would not have met Sloan Young, a North Carolina native if he had stayed in Florida.

Jacoby, originally from Florida, transferred after his second season due to a coaching change at Florida.

He thrived at Raleigh, where he played for two seasons. The footballer concluded his Wolfpack career with over 5,000 yards and even 43 touchdowns, attracting the interest of NFL scouts.

Sloan was born and reared in North Carolina, according to a blog she wrote in the summer of 2015.

The footballer’s girlfriend began her studies at NC State, but as she writes on her blog, “I was never pleased; I was constantly yearning for more in places that continued to leave me feeling empty.”

Her life changed in late 2012 when she “…got down on my knees in the middle of the night and begged Christ to enter my heart in exchange for surrendering my life to him.”

Sloan graduated two years later with a degree in Interpersonal Communication from NC State. She decided to devote her life to urban evangelism shortly after graduating from college.

After graduation, she began helping at a charity organization in Raleigh, North Carolina. She moved on to another NGO in Seattle called CryOut.

Jacoby has deleted his social media accounts since joining the Patriots. Except for the adorable message from a few months ago, there’s little mention of his girlfriend on his Twitter feed.

Jacoby’s Mother Was Dissatisfied With His Initial Decision To Play At Florida

Jacoby Brissett was a two-sport standout at Dwyer High School and played basketball. Rivals ranked Brissett as the third-best dual-threat quarterback in his class.

When the player was approached by both the University of Miami and the University of Florida, he ultimately picked football over basketball. He opted to sign with Florida against his mother’s wishes.

“Not my choice,” his mother, Lisa Brown, told reporters. I didn’t like how Florida handled the situation. I never had the opportunity to meet the head coach. All of the other coaches came out to meet me. Will (Muschamp) did not. I never met him in person. That is incredibly demeaning to me.”

Lisa told MaxPreps that it was “a difficult pill for me to take.” She also lauded Charlie Weis’s handling of the recruitment process.

“I must remark that Charlie (Weis) is fantastic. He’s been quite direct throughout the entire process, which I can manage. We agree on everything. He, like me, is on point. We didn’t mince words about anything. I believe Charlie, but not Will.”

The athlete revealed his intention to go with Florida in front of a big audience of 1,000 people before Dwyer’s basketball game versus Jupiter.

“I can’t please everyone,” Brissett said to the Palm Beach Post. “I’m sorry I upset my mother; as you can see, I was sobbing with her before the game.” She means everything to me.”

The footballer admitted that going against his mother’s wishes was difficult, but he thought it was the correct decision.

Brissett Was Anticipated To Be The Backup Quarterback For The Indianapolis Colts In 2019

Jacoby Brissett was expected to be the Indianapolis’ backup quarterback for the 2019 season. Andrew Luck, however, unexpectedly announced his retirement on August 24, 2019, two weeks before the start of the 2019 regular season.

In the following news conference, Indianapolis general manager Chris Ballard reaffirmed that Jacoby would be the team’s full-time starting quarterback moving into the season.

The footballer signed a two-year, $30 million contract with the Colts on September 2, 2019, with $20 million guaranteed, a contract he negotiated himself since he doesn’t “want others to BS on his behalf.”

The Florida native was in the final year of his rookie deal and was due to earn $2 million this season. He rushed for 190 yards, and two touchdown passes to T. Y. Hilton in a 30-24 overtime defeat to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1.

Jacoby threw three touchdown passes and one interception in the Colts’ 19-17 win over division foe Tennessee Titans on September 15, 2019. He passed for 310 yards and two touchdowns while completing his first 16 ball attempts in a 27-24 win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3.

For his efforts, Brissett was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week. The rest of the season did not go well for him and the Indianapolis, who finished 3-6. During that time, Brissett averaged 172.7 yards per game and had four throwing touchdowns to three interceptions.

The player ended the season with 18 touchdowns, 2,942 yards passing, and six interceptions, as well as 228 yards running and four touchdowns.
