Who Is Lewis Capaldi?

Lewis Capaldi is a Scottish singer-songwriter and musician known for the hit song Someone You Loved.

Born on October 7, 1996, in Glasgow, Scotland, Lewis learnt how to play the guitar and perform songs on stage from a tender age.

He once admitted that his musical career was inspired by soulful pop songs from the likes of Paolo Nutini and Joe Cocker.

Lewis’ 2019 single “Someone You Loved” had ranked tops on the UK Singles Chart for several weeks after its release, and later became number one on the US Billboard Hot 100.

The song earned nominations from the Critics’ Choice Award, the Brit Awards, and the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards.

The song was drawn from his album Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent, which sold over two million copies worldwide, and became the best selling album of 2019 and 2020 in the UK.

Capaldi’s song “Someone You Loved” is still the “longest-running top 10 UK single of all time by a British artist.”

In 2022, Lewis disclosed that he battled the neurological condition, which often comes with involuntary noises and movements called tics.
