Lance Stephenson Net Worth $2 million

Lance Stephenson is the older of two sons of Bernadette and Lance Stephenson Sr. The first indicators that Lance could become a promising basketball player were noticed by scouts when he was only 12 years old, at the Bronx AAU tournament, later taking part in the Adidas ABCD Camp. Lance attended Abraham Lincoln High School, renowned for turning out exceptional basketball players, and lead his high school team, Railsplitters, to championship titles in his junior and sophomore years and was honored with several awards including back-to-back Player of the Year. He was also named the Abraham Lincoln High School’s all-time leading scorer with the total of 2,946 scored points.

In 2009, Lance Stephenson enrolled at the University of Cincinnati where he played for the Cincinnati Bearcats for only one season before he was drafted by the Indiana Pacers in the 2nd round of the 2010 NBA Draft as 40th pick, and abandoned studies in order to pursue a professional basketball career. He debuted for the Pacers in February 2011 in a match against the Phoenix Suns, however, he was demoted from the rooster due to “immaturity issues”, so during the 2011-12 season, Lance made only a few appearances for the Pacers, including his first career starter against the Chicago Bulls in which he scored 22 points. In the next season, he was a regular starter, and in the 6th game of the Eastern Conference semifinals, he led the Pacers to a win over New York Knicks with a career high double-double 25 points and 10 rebounds. However, they lost in the final to the Miami Heat. All these engagements provided the basis for Lance Stephenson’s net worth.

Although the Pacers offered him a five-year contract extension worth $44 million, Lance Stephenson accepted Charlotte Hornets three-year contract worth $27million in 2014. After playing only a few games, Lance was injured with a pelvic sprain and forced to skip 14 matches. In 2015, the Hornets traded him to the Los Angeles Clippers in exchange for Matt Barnes and Spencer Hawes. However, after just the half of the season, Lance Stephenson was traded again, this time to the Memphis Grizzlies, in February 2016. In September 2016, Lance Stephenson relocated to New Orleans and signed with the Pelicans. It is certain that all these ventures have helped Lance to gain experience as well as to add to his overall net worth.

When it comes to his personal life, little is known of any relationships, however, Lance Stephenson has had legal troubles; in 2008, he was arrested for groping an underage girl in his high school and was faced with Class B misdemeanor sexual assault charge. In 2010, he was arrested again, this time facing a third-degree assault charges after he reportedly pushed his girlfriend down the stairs. However, the latter case was later dismissed.
