Karoline Leavitt, a former Trump White House staffer who embraced the former president’s baseless claims of a stolen election, won the Republican primary for New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District. She became the second Gen Z candidate to win a congressional primary. Her campaign began with no name recognition, no money, and little chance of beating Republican Matt Mowers, who ran against her in 2020 and lost. In 2016, she worked on Donald Trump and also campaigned on youth.

Her Twitter bio read as, “MAGA Inc. Spokeswoman @MAGAIncWarRoom. 2022 U.S. Congress GOP Nominee. Former Comms Director @elisestefanik & Trump White House Assistant Press Secretary.”
