Juanita Vanoy was born on 13 June 1959, in Chicago, Illinois USA. Juanita  is a former model, but is also the ex-wife of Michael Jordan, and Juanita’s net worth comes mostly from a divorce settlement with the famous basketball player which happened in 2006. Their relationship had lasted for many years as the couple met for the first time in 1984, and after the divorce Juanita was left an extremely rich woman.

So just how rich is Juanita Jordan? Sources have estimated that following her divorce Juanita was left with an estimated net worth of $170 million.  At the time Juanita’s wealth consisted mostly of a huge compound that belonged to her and Michael, which was valued at $168 million. The case is famous for being at the time the biggest celebrity divorce settlement, and is still rated in the top 10.

Juanita Jordan Net Worth $170 Million

Juanita Jordan worked as a secretary and a model for many years but was pretty much unknown. At the time she met Michael Jordan in 1984, apparently she did not know how much money this relationship was likely to bring her, perhaps partly because Michael was only just starting to play in the NBA. The couple was dating for several years before Michael finally proposed to Juanita in 1987, and it took two more years until they finally married. The couple has two sons named Jeffrey Michael and Marcus James and a daughter Jasmine. They looked like a happy loving family which had it all and it was a shock to everybody when they announced their impending divorce in 2002, however, they changed their minds and attempted to reconcile, but that did not work and the official divorce papers were signed in 2006. All happened by a mutual agreement without any scandalous incidents, although recent paternity claims against Michael may suggest otherwise. As mentioned before, after the split up Juanita Jordan’s net worth skyrocketed; such a huge divorce settlement had no precedent at that time but since then the world has seen even bigger ones, such as Mel Gibson and Robyn Denise’s divorce which ended with a settlement of more than $400 million.

Having in mind how rich is Juanita Jordan, she is known to be a very modest and down to earth person who avoids the press and protects the privacy of her family. However, she had not been living as a careless wife of a rich celebrity husband. Together with Michael she co-founded, and worked as the chairman of the “Michael and Juanita Jordan Endowment Fund”. Besides that, Juanita Jordan also became involved in a real estate business which likely contributed to her net worth, but of course not as much as the money she received as a divorce settlement. As for Juanita’s property, she is known to have purchased a penthouse the size of 8,000 square feet for $5 million.

Juanita Jordan does not appear in the media often, but was recently being mentioned again because of her and Michael’s daughter enrolling at college. In addition, Juanita’s name came out when Michael Jordan became engaged for the second time.
