Isabel May is an American actress known for her work in television and film. Isabel May was born on November 21, 2000, in Santa Monica, California, USA.

She is very close to her parents, but information about her family is not public.  May and her parents decided to have her schooling done online beginning in tenth grade so that she could focus on acting after auditioning for three years without landing a role.

With no acting experience and little training, she landed the role of Katie in Alexa & Katie six months later. May’s portrayal of Katie garnered positive reviews for her ability to balance the character’s optimism and vulnerability.

In addition to “Alexa & Katie,” May has made guest appearances in television shows such as “Young Sheldon” and “Grown-ish.” She has also worked in films, including “Let’s Scare Julie” and “The Lonely Island Presents: The Unauthorized Bash Brothers Experience.”

May starred as Elsa Dutton, the show’s narrator and the lead character in the Paramount+ western limited series 1883, a prequel to Yellowstone, in 2021. Critics praised her performance, and The Hollywood Reporter named her one of the most promising young stars in Hollywood.
