Tush Push is not in Madden 24 but the users can perform it by starting from QB Kneel play. Alternate West Coast playbook is another option.

Players across the country use customized Madden playbooks to perform a specific task as the latest series of Madden lacks such features by default. The play is also known by different other names including “The Brotherly Shove”, “Rugby Sneak” and “Organized Mass”.

The pushing game with such a cute name can be equally risky as most of the plays are. It is one of the most controversial actions in the League where the QB after taking the ball from the center and having the players of the offensive team gather behind the quarterback to push, push, and push him.

It demands a high level of talented players and skills to execute such plays successfully. The action generally comes into play whenever a short gain is needed.

After the play gained wide popularity in the last season of the National Football League and is hovering this season as well, gamers have started to use the action as a key strategy to get some short gains.

This is one of the three variations of the quarterback sneak which involves pushing maul.

Is Madden Introducing Tush Push?

Madden has not introduced Tush Push in 2023 and the game developers have not confirmed the availability of this feature till date.

The popularity of this specific action has taken a different height in the NFL since the Eagles had extensive success executing the same play last season.

Many teams have started practicing it during this season as well. With the concept gaining such hype in the football market, some gamers over the internet often joke about the inclusion of the feature in Madden.

Although EA is not coming up with the inclusion of the feature you can still do the action by using various customized playbooks available.

The Brotherly Shove can gain your team snatching short gains and lead the team to unexpected success if you know how to execute the play.

Besides that, there are other ways you can take your quarterback past the defense. The most popular in the video game is QB sneak.

Madden 24 QB Sneak

QB Sneak is a run gameplay that is found under Normal Goal Line formation.  This will require 2 Running Backs and 3 Tight Ends.

How to QB Sneak in Madden?

Below is the step-by-step process to sneak your quarterback and get past the defenders.

• Reach to “Filter Plays By:” option
• Select “Formation”
• Inside it, find “Goal Line” and click it.
• After that, find “QB Sneak” play in the options, and choose it.

After the above-mentioned steps, you will finally be able to run the play. It is often used in short-yardage situations. The format of the play is the quarterback takes the center snap the offensive line moves forward powerfully while the QB dives ahead.

Sneaks generally come in three variations. This is one of them which does not involve pushing maul. Most often during the play, the QB tries to leap over the pile in this action.

Almost Every team in the video game consists of this playbook including non-team playbooks such as Run Heavy Offense, Run and Shoot Offense, Run N Gun Offense, Spread Offense, and West Coast Offense.

Is The Tush Push Legal?

Tush Push has been legal since the 2005 amendment in the NFL rule. It lifted the term that prohibited the pushing of the offensive players.

Before the changes in the regulations, athletes were not allowed to push the offensive players. In 2005 the league removed the phrase which made a way for the action to come to the field.

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Siranni commenced the play in the NFL and quarterback Jalen Hurts executed and completed almost all of the plays so magically.

There have been various talks on regarding the legal grounds of the action but the League has not said anything about its unacceptability.

Previously those teams that criticized and hated the Eagles Brotherly Shove are now copying the same infamous action and incorporating it into their offense.

It has not been so gaining for other NFL teams and they should most probably check their offense if they really want to get success from the rugby sneak.

Last season when the play was getting hype and the Eagles and the NFL were frequently questioned about the legality, the League sent a memo stating a rule that clearly said, “The runner cannot be pulled” but it does not state that he cannot be pushed.

That made it quite clear that the action was fair play executed in the most clever way possible when not a single team thought that it could be executed.

Is The NFL Banning Tush Push?

NFL tush push ban is not happening any sooner as it is fully legal. The League is also silent about it and will review the play after the 2023 season.

There have been several appeals about banning Organized Mass play from various team coaches, players, critics, and media personalities. But many think that there is no actual reason to do that.

Richard Sherman, who is a former NFL CB writes on X, “My problem with the play is the NFL literally banned defensive players from pushing other players into the offensive formation on FG and PATs because it was a “Health and safety issue.”

He further added, “but now it’s ok because it benefits the offense?” Sherman hit directly at what he felt the act as the NFL’s hypocrisy.

Similarly, the former defensive end J.J. Watt wrote in support of the play accepting the fact that the Eagles would still succeed in the QB sneak if the push was not allowed in the game. The real reason for their success is their strongest offense.

The League on the other hand will currently observe the injury rate during the execution of the action and decide upon it once the season ends.

Eagles Tush Push Success Rate

Eagles Tush Push Success Rate is 93.3% in the 2023 season. The Eagles lead the NFL in the play with a total of 17 brotherly shoves to date.

Only one play did not reward the franchise but succeeded in all others. The team’s rate of success in the 2022 season was 93.5% which was higher than the mark today.

This is because of the volume of the actions the squad executed last season. The Eagles ran the play 43 times last year which included the six times run for two touchdowns in the Super Bowl.

This season, they have run it six times in just one game while playing against the Los Angeles Rams. More than 71 such plays have been executed this year by other teams but their success is not so promising.

The Eagles seem to have mastered the play already and are the only team in the League with such massive success through the action.

If we exclude the number of the Eagles from the data of sneak successes in the NFL, it is 77.8% this season which shows that the excitement over the sneaks is increasing.

Is Brotherly Shove in Practice in Other Teams?

NFL offenses have started seeking if they can also equally exploit the advantages from such sneaks as the Eagle does. The Bears stand below the Eagles.

Other than the Philadelphia Eagles, 11 NFL teams have quite improved the Organized Mass action this season. The Chicago Bears is in the second in line total of eight sneaks till now. Justin Fields has shown impressive skills in those gains.

While most of the teams are throwing themselves in the pool of sneaky execution, six teams have chosen not to bring out any sneak with their quarterbacks this 2023 season.

How To Stop The Tush Push?

To Stop the tush push jump the snap almost instantly, flip over the offensive lineman, and roll the ball carrier down to Tackle for Loss.

This is not always possible to execute as it demands the next level of reaction speed and timing. Only a few who have mastered it can perform the block.

Apart from being highly skillful in those attributes, there is no actual way to stop and make the play dead. The defense can use various other techniques and try to stop the action from occurring.

Since the yardage is short there is a low chance of the carrier being taken on the ground. Besides that, the strong offense also makes it difficult for it to stop.

You can carry out a similar kind of technique in Madden 24 as well but for that, your player needs to have some excellent attributes and you must have an immense level of command over your control system. Otherwise, it is going to be very difficult.

The main reason for the Eagles’ success to this larger extent and their opponent’s failure to stop them is because they play with the No. 1 offense in the League.
