Doja Cat isn’t just a Jew. She is a woman of mixed ethnicity.

Doja Cat’s parents are Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer (mother), who is Jewish-American, and Dumisani Dlamini (father), a South African.

Though her religion has not been disclosed, her family moved to the Sherman Oaks section of Los Angeles when she was 11 years old. They lived in an ashram in the Agoura Hills for four years, practicing Hinduism.

Her father, on the other hand, rejects this, claiming that he and his daughter have a “good” connection.

Likewise, Doja’s mother, Deborah, is a Jewish-American painter.

Doja and her mother relocated to New York City shortly after her birth, where they stayed for five years. Her family eventually relocated to Oak Park, California, where her mother began enrolling her in ballet, tap, and jazz classes at the age of five.

Moreover, Doja’s aunt, a sinter, taught her how to sing to help her get into a music school.
