How Old Was Tom Brady When He Started Playing Football?

Tom Brady was just four years old when he started playing football.

Tom was drafted 199th overall by the Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL Draft after playing college football at Michigan, earning him the nickname “the NFL’s biggest draft steal.”

He was promoted to starter quarterback during his second season, and the Patriots won their first Super Bowl title in Super Bowl XXXVI.

Brady led the Patriots to 17 division victories (including 11 straight from 2009 to 2019), 13 AFC Championship Games (including eight straight from 2011-2018), nine Super Bowl appearances, and six Super Bowl titles in his 18 seasons team’s starting quarterback.

In 2020, he joined the Buccaneers and led them to Super Bowl LV, giving him a total of ten Super Bowl appearances and seven triumphs.

How Many Times Did Tom Brady Beat Ohio State?

Over the year, the annual Ohio State vs. Michigan game has featured several outstanding athletes. However, it’s safe to assume that none of them were able to equal Tom Brady’s remarkable NFL success.

Brady was a relative mortal as a quarterback for the Wolverines before becoming an NFL-winning machine.

Even if he didn’t set the college football world on fire, his rivalry game record demonstrated his winning ways.

Brady had a 4-1 record versus Ohio State during his time at Michigan.

That record, however, does not accurately reflect his time as a starter.

Brady sat out the Wolverines’ 31-23 win over the Buckeyes in 1995. In 1996, he was a backup for the 12-9 triumph, and in 1997, he was a backup for the 20-14 victory.

Brady was named the starting quarterback in Ann Arbor in 1998, and he led the team to a 10-3 record. That year, Michigan’s game against Ohio State didn’t go well.

Brady demonstrated his skill by setting Michigan records for pass attempts and completions, which he later broke.

In 1999, Brady avenged himself by leading his side to a 24-17 victory against the rivals. Michigan concluded the season with a 10-2 record and was ranked No. 5 in the US.

As a member of the Wolverines, Brady went 4-1 but 1-1 as a starter against the Buckeyes.
