There have been three instances when HOF games have been canceled. The 2011 NFL lockout, poor field conditions in 2016, and the COVID-19 Pandemic of 2020 were the reasons behind these cancellations.

NFL Hall of Fame Snubs

NFL Hall of Fame 2023 snubs are Devin Hester, Jared Allen, Andre Johnson, and Reggie Wayne. These players were worthy in every way to earn their place in HOF.

Every year few solid names are left behind, making everyone furious to call it unfair and unjust. The mechanism of choosing only five former athletes in the Modern-Era category presents extreme difficulty for the selectors.

Devin Hester

Hester played with Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, and Seattle Seahawks for eleven years. He was named for the Pro Bowl on four occasions.

With 11,028 return yards, he is undoubtedly the most impressive return specialist to grace the game. He led the NFL kickoff return yards chart in 2013 and 2014

On top of that, he was named NFL Alumni Special Teams Player of the Year in 2006, 2007, and 2010.

Jared Allen

The Defensive End enjoyed twelve glorious years in the league. He was part of the Kansas City Chiefs, Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, and Carolina Panthers.

The Minnesota Vikings Ring of Honor recipient made 648 tackles and 136 sacks. He is a five-time Pro Bowler.

No other player recorded more sacks in 2007 and 2011 than Allen.

Andre Johnson

The Houston Texans legend was the third pick in the 2003 NFL Draft. Johnson played as a Wide Receiver for the Texans from 2003 to 2014.

He was with Indianapolis Colts in 2015 and Tennessee Titans in 2016.

The Houston Texans Ring of Honor recipient is a seven-time Pro Bowler. He made 1,062 receptions, covered 14,185 yards, and scored 70 touchdowns.

Reggie Wayne

Reggie Wayne was at Indianapolis Colts from 2001 to 2014. His NFL record is 1,070 receptions, 14,345 receiving yards, and 82 touchdowns.

The Super Bowl XLI winners ring, six-time Pro Bowl, ad Indianapolis Colts Ring of Honor speaks volume for the individual.
