Swedish golfer Linn Grant and her partner Pontus Samuelsson have been dating for more than three years. With a shared passion for golf, the young couple seems to be in a relationship since their high school days.

Linn Maria Grant, born on June 20, 1999, is an accomplished golfer from Sweden who became a professional on August 2021.

Her boyfriend, Pontus Samuelsson, is also a golfer, currently studying as a sophomore at Limestone University. According to the official website of The Limestone Saints, Samuelsson is majoring in Business Administration/Economics and plays golf as a student-athlete.

Being a member of the Swedish national golf team since 2016, she has contributed to her country, finishing as runner-up in 2016 and winning in 2017 at European Girls Championship.

Linn also is the first female golfer to win a battle of the sexes event in 2022. Before that, she used to play golf while attending Arizona State University, where she went on to win four individual titles.

Similar to golfers like Brooke Henderson and many others, Linn is also inspired to play golf following after her father, John Grant, and grandfather, James Grant. Both of them were professional golfers during their time.

Linn Grant and Pontus Samuelsson Together Since 2019

Linn Grant and her boyfriend Pontus have been together since high school.

Making her debut in August of 2021, she became a professional golfer creating great tides from the start of her career. Accompanied by her boyfriend Pontus, she had always received the emotional support of having someone you trust.

The two already had a steady relationship even before she became a professional golfer. Linn took to her Instagram to share their first photo as a couple on January 13, 2019.

They Both Started Playing Golf As College Athletes

Linn Grant and her boyfriend Pontus Samuelsson both started young in golf. She played amateur golf while she was a student at Arizona State University.

Born into a family of refined golfers, Linn has always admired her father and grandfather as her role model. She was already well acquainted with the sport, which most likely influenced her to pursue golf.

Her boyfriend Pontus is currently working as a caddie for her while also finishing his studies in Business/economics major. In addition, he also plays golf by participating as a student-athlete for Limestone University.

Pontus Samuelsson Handles Linn Grant’s Bag As Her Caddie

Pontus has mostly served as the caddie to Linn Grant ever since she debuted professionally as a golfer.

Since caddies attend to the golfer’s bags and provide advice to them, it is evident that Linn receives endless support from her partner on-course and off-course.

She had her boyfriend right by her side even during her recent win at the Scandinavian Mixed Event on June 12, 2022.

The Couple’s Public Display of Affection

Linn occasionally posts pictures of her and Pontus on her Instagram after playing in the tournament. Apart from that, she also mentions him on various other instances as we browse through her profile.

Going further, we can see their pictures from early high school days when they had just started dating each other. The oldest photo we can get of them is a mirror shot of the couple that was taken, most probably during prom night.

Besides images of herself on the golf course, the humble golfer’s Instagram profile is filled with gratitude to her boyfriend, family, and friends.

Linn shared a series of pictures on Instagram on January 2, 2020, honoring the most treasured people in her life. She thanked them for their happiness, love, and beautiful memories from the previous year. Pontus quickly made his way to the list.

Boyfriend Pontus is Younger Than Linn

The young golfer’s boyfriend is even younger than her as she is already 23 years old, based on her date of birth, June 20, 1999. Meanwhile, Pontus Samuelsson’s profile on The Limestone University Saints states that he was born on January 13, 2000. This makes her about six months older than him.

With their minimal age difference, it is safe to say that apart from being lovers and partners on the golf course, they are also best friends who always have each other’s back.
