Born into an Ashkenazi Jewish family, mother Irit was a teacher, and father Michael Gadot was an engineer. She is of mixed ancestry, including Polish-Jewish, Austrian-Jewish and Czech-Jewish – her maternal grandfather survived Auschwitz, while her grandmother managed to escape the Nazi invasion.

Although born in Petah Tikva, she grew up in Rosh HaAyin. While in high school, Gal focused on biology studies and received a major in the subject. After high school, she enrolled at IDC Herzliya college, where she studied law and international relations.

Before launching her career in modeling, Gal served in Israeli Defence Forces as a combat trainer, which helped her build up her discipline and respect.

At 19, Gal auditioned for the Miss Israeli pageant, and at the actual event won the title, which launched her career in modeling. She got a chance to represent her country at Miss Universe 2004, but wasn’t successful.

However, she was soon contracted by Miss Sixty, Huawei, and other popular brands for their campaigns. This certainly increased her net worth, as well as her popularity, and she was soon featured in several popular magazines, including Cosmopolitan, Entertainment Weekly, Fashion and many others, further increasing her net worth.

She made her acting debut in 2007 in the Israeli film “Bubot”, having previously been approached for the role of Bond girl in the film “Quantum of Solace”, but feeling that she wasn’t up to the task, she refused the role. However, “Quantum of Solace” casting director, Justin Lin, sought her for the film “Fast & Furious” for the part of Gisele, and this time she accepted the role, with her character becoming one of the most popular in the franchise, and as a result she featured in the sequels “Fast Five” in 2011, “Fast & Furious 6” (2013), and “Furious 7” (2017), increasing her net worth by a large margin.

Aside from the above, Gal has had another successful appearance, when in 2015 she was chosen for the role of Diana Prince/Wonder Woman for the film “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”, starring Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, and Amy Adams as Lois. The film grossed more than $870 million at the box office, which helped increase Gal’s net worth, and she repeated her role in the films “Wonder Woman” (2017), “Justice League” (2017), and will feature in “Justice League Part Two”, which is yet to receive its release date, then “Wonder Woman 2”, which will come out in 2019, and “Flashpoint” in 2020.

Gal has also made several other appearances, including the portrayal of Jill Pope in the action drama “Criminal” (2016), starring next to Kevin Costner and Ryan Reynolds, which also added a substantial amount to her net worth.

Regarding her personal life, Gal has been married to Yaron Varsano, an Israeli real estate developer, since 2008. The couple has two children together, both daughters.
