Basically, he is well-known for his relationship with media tycoon Jann Wenner. He co-founded the renowned cultural magazine Rolling Stone and served as Men’s Journal’s former publisher.

Similarly, Wenner actively participated in the Free Speech Movement and co-founded “Rolling Stone” with Ralph J. Gleason in 1967. Here is what we know about their shared family and LGBT romance.

Apart from this, his partner, Wenner, launched other periodicals, including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, later in his career.

As a publisher and public figure, he has been the subject of debate about Hall of Fame eligibility favoritism, the dissolution of his friendship with eccentric journalist Hunter S. Thompson, and accusations that the magazine’s reviews were slanted.

Jann Wenner And His Partner Live In A $11.9 Million Mansion

Wenner invested $11.9 million in 2009 to buy a 6,300-square-foot home in Montauk, New York, with his designer partner, Matt Nye. There are eight bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms in the 1.5-acre oceanfront mansion.

At the time of the sale, Jann owned at least five additional properties, including a ranch in Sun Valley, Idaho, a ski condo there, a 9,030-square-foot brownstone in Manhattan, and a 6,540-square-foot townhouse there.

In addition, his ex-wife, Jane Wenner, paid $17.57 million in January 2010 for his portion of the Amagansett, New York, a house they shared in 1991 on an 11.6-acre coastal parcel.

She also made a $4 million investment in January 2010 to buy his ownership stake in the Upper West Side townhouse they had previously shared.

Wenner Let Go His 28 Years Of Marriage To Be With Matt Nye

Jann Wenner, the founder of Rolling Stone and owner of Us Weekly, was sued for divorce by his former spouse, Jane Wenner, 16 years after he caused a stir by moving in with his gay partner, former Calvin Klein model Matthew Nye, per Page Six.

On June 20, Keith Kelly of The Post learned that Jane Wenner had filed for divorce in the New York State Supreme Court.

When the couple divorced in 1995, there were concerns that the breakup would endanger Wenner’s media empire, including Men’s Journal.

The Wenners never formally divorced despite leading different lives for almost 20 years, and Jann and Nye finally had children via surrogate.

It’s unclear what ultimately led Jane to get a divorce. Still, some people think that the legalization of gay marriage in New York, which made it possible for Jann and Nye to get married, may have played a significant role.

Publisher Jann Wenner Is Older Than Matt Nye

There might be an age difference of over five or more years between Jann Wenner and his partner, Matt Nye, who seems to be in his late 50s.

Although Matt’s precise date and birth are unknown, his gay partner is 76 years old and was born on January 7, 1946, in New York, United States.

He was raised by a secular Jewish household. In the aftermath of his parent’s divorce in 1958, he and his sisters, Kate and Merlyn, were enrolled in boarding schools.

Although strangely, Wenner has never actually divorced his wife Jane Schindelheim, who is still a partner in his Wenner Media publishing empire, their connection seemed to be monogamous and in excellent shape.

In 2006, Matt and Jann further solidified their union by conceiving a son through surrogacy, Noah. They also have twin kids named India Rose and Jude.

Additionally, he has three sons from a previous marriage: Edward Augustus, better known as Gus, who oversees Wenner Media’s digital operations, Theodore “Theo” Simon, and Alexander Jann.
