Eva Mendes was born on March 5, 1974, in Miami, Florida, to her parents Eva Pérez Suárez and Juan Carlos Méndez.

Eva’s parents are originally from Cuba.

Eva Perez Suarez

Eva’s mother, Eva Pérez Suarez, became a single mum after she divorced her husband. She had single-handedly raised Eva and three others.

She used to work at Mann’s Chinese Theatre.

She later took up a job in an aerospace company.

On a Mother’s Day occasion in 2022, Eva revealed that her mum is currently battling a health challenge. She went on to recant how much her mum had sacrificed for her and her siblings while growing up.

“I really took it back to when I was little,” she shared. “My mom was able to be there for me at home until I was about 8 or 9. And those memories for me, that just formed who I was, those years with her.”

Juan Carlos Méndez

Eva’s father Juan Carlos Méndez, was a livestock business man who specialized in meat distribution.
