Ethan Nwanari was born in Nigeria to parents.

Since he was a young player, his parents have always shown a great deal of encouragement and support for him in his football endeavors. If not for them, he would never have achieved the level of success in the professional sector he is experiencing right now.

They are a solid pillar that keeps Nwanari running, despite the fact that they have not yet come to the limelight and public attention. Because of this, he has a chance to break the record for the youngest player ever to compete in the Premier League.

15-Year-Old Arsenal Midfielder Ethan Nwaneri’s Birthday

The English footballer, who is now 15 years old, was born on March 21, 2007.

Arsenal offensive midfielder Ethan Nwaneri, who has not yet turned 16 years old, has been receiving playing time with the first team as a result of his impressive play in recent months.

The young midfielder was born in Nigeria to Nigerian parents, and he joined the Arsenal youth program when he was nine years old. His parents are Nigerian. At only 14, Ethan had already played for the England Under-16 team as well as the England Under-17 team.

After Arsenal’s pre-season friendly match against Slough Town in late July, in which they fielded a mainly inexperienced lineup and were defeated 1-0, the Slough Town manager, Neil Baker, singled out Nwaneri as a potential rising star to keep an eye on for the upcoming seasons.

Nwaneri Is The Premier League’s All-Time Record Holder For Youngest Player

During their match against Brentford on September 18, 2022, Arsenal won 3-0, with Ethan Nwaneri coming on as a late substitution for them.

The teenager became the youngest player in the history of the Premier League at the age of 15 years and 181 days old. During that week, the youngster practiced with the first-team squad.

His debut shattered the previous record of 16 years, which had been held by Harvey Elliott, a midfielder for Fulham at the time. As a result, Nwaneri became the first player to compete in the Premier League at 15.

In point of fact, Nwaneri surpasses Luka Romero of Mallorca, who made his debut in La Liga at only 15 years of age and 219 days in the year 2020. By surpassing the record, Ethan created football history by becoming the youngest player in the Big Five European League.

Romero’s arrival broke a record held by Kalman Gerencseri of Lens, whose previous mark of 15 years and 225 days had been in place since 1960. To put that into perspective, Romero’s arrival broke the record by 60 years.

Romeo Lavia of Southampton is the youngest player in the history of the Premier League to score a goal. He did it at the age of 18 years and 234 days, scoring a goal to assist the Saints in defeating Chelsea in August of 2022.

That also shattered a record held by Harvey Elliott, who had been a part of the spectacular 9-0 victory Liverpool had over Bournemouth just three days before.

Ethan Nwaneri Arsenal Salary and Wages

Ethan Nwaneri is yet to sign a professional contract with Arsenal because of his age. So, he doesn’t have a wage or salary amount in numbers.

Since Nwaneri made his debut in the professional game for Arsenal, it is reasonable to presume that the Gunners compensate him financially for his services, regardless of age.

However, to sign a professional contract, athletes must wait until they are at least 17 years old. Nwaneri is just 15 years old and has not even graduated high school. Because his GCSE examinations are set for the following year, when he is 16 years old, he cannot receive a weekly paycheck while still in school.

Nwaneri, on the other hand, won’t be allowed to sign any scholarship applications until he graduates high school.

When players graduate high school and are under 17, they are eligible to sign their first professional contract. They then have the opportunity to sign scholarship papers offered by various organizations.

Is Nwaneri Participating In A Scholarship Program?

Nwaneri cannot bring in enough money to cover his weekly expenses until he completes his studies. When a player reaches the age of 17, scholarship applications are made available to them.

These scholarships are frequently handed out in the same sum to each player, regardless of their position or quality.

Nwaneri, on the other hand, has the opportunity to start earning money before he reaches 17 if he signs sponsorship arrangements with firms like Nike or Adidas for items like apparel and footwear. These partnerships would allow him to get paid for these sponsorships.

Will Nwaneri Be Given An Opportunity To Sign A Contract?

Because Nwaneri made his first appearance in a professional game when he was only 15 years old, likely, he is already a future star.

He will continue to progress with the first team until he is 17 and can sign a professional contract. His first professional contract may be worth a significant amount of money at a club like Arsenal, and it would almost surely be more than he would make anywhere else, owing to the riches and size of the Gunners.

However, until that time, a precise estimate of how much money he may be able to make will not be available. It might be comparable to the one that academy graduate Bukayo Saka received after signing his first deal with the Gunners.

Bukayo Saka was making about £3,000 per week after signing his first contract with the Gunners, while Emile Smith Rowe was making a comparable amount.

The Young Player Was Not Allowed To Use The Locker Rooms With Senior Players

Because of his young age, Ethan was not even allowed to change in the same locker rooms as the more experienced players on the squad.

Before making his debut as the youngest player in the history of the Premier League, Ethan Nwaneri, then a teenager playing for Arsenal and breaking a record there, had to get changed away from the rest of the team.

Liverpool legend Harvey Elliott previously held the record from his time spent at Fulham. When the midfielder replaced Fabio Vieira in injury time during a match against Brentford, he did so at 15 years and 181 days to beat the record.

In west London, Mikel Arteta was forced to make do without players such as Martin Odegaard and Emile Smith Rowe, so he made a surprising decision to put the kid on the bench.

After the game, it was revealed that Nwaneri was not even permitted to change with the rest of the team before the start of the competition. Instead, he had to put on his uniform separately from the rest of the main squad for safety concerns.

After going on in injury time, Nwaneri was given every opportunity to feel like he was a valuable member of Arteta’s team, despite the fact that he was not permitted to change with his celebrity teammates.

However, this did not dull the team’s spirit, as goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale encouraged the young player and pushed him to go to the away end and accept his ovation from the visiting fans when the Arsenal team thanked the crowd after the game.

The young player went to the away end and accepted his ovation from the visiting fans.
