Doutzen Kroes Wiki Biography

Doutzen Kroes was born on 23 January 1985, in Eastermar, Netherlands into a Frisian family. She is a model and actress, who really came to prominence when working for Victoris’a Angels, beginning in 2004, and for the next 10 years, She also has an ambition to expand her acting career, following her debut in 2011.

So just how rich is Doutzen Kroes? Sources estimate that Doutzen now has a net worth of almost $20 million, accumulated largely from her modelling career which has now spanned little more than 12 years. Her wealth continues to grow, as she is reputed to have earned $8 million in 2014 alone, one of the highest amounts of all models, and topping the average of $6 million that Kroes had earned in each of the previous four years.

Doutzen Kroes Net Worth $20 Million

Before her career started, Doutzen was taken on by Paparrazzi Agency in The Netherlands in 2003, which sent her to New York to enhance her possibilities for work as a model. She was lucky – she had no knowledge of Victoria’s Secret, let alone their Angels, but within a year she was working for them, which naturally helped increase her net worth in financial terms, but also multiplied her prospects with the resultant exposure. In fact, she worked for them for four years before actually becoming an Angel’, but concurrently she had many other assignments.

As early as 2005, Vogue.com’s readers picked Kroes as “Model of The Year”, so she had already become noticed in the fashion world.  In May 2007, Doutzen appeared on the cover of the American edition of  Vogue magazine which identified her as a future “World Top Model”. In 2008, the Pirelli Calendar featured her, and from 2007 Forbes has consistently listed her as one of the world’s top earning models – a good pick, given her wealth now, quoted above.

To demonstrate Doetzen Kroes’ standing in the world of modelling, she has been contracted to work for such world-renowned companies as Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Gucci,  Valentino, Blumarine and Versace. Her net worth has obviously soared as a result of these projects.

Additionally, Kroes is quite possibly the model who has been featured more than any other on the covers of many reputable magazines, high exposure indeed. These have included Numéro, Harper’s Bazaar, Time, Marie Claire, Seventeen, W, Avantgarde, Elle,  Glamour,  Dazed & Confused, and Vogue.

However, there is little doubt that Doutzen Kroes’ initial audition for and subsequent employment by Victoria’s Secret has been the most important connection. She has participated in eight of their Fashion Shows from 2005, broadcast annually on prime-time US TV, and now rated as having the highest viewer audience. However, Doutzen didn’t become an Angel until 2008 – there are only 15 at any one time – confirming her as one of the top models in the world and certainly securing her financial future, as her net worth now demonstrates..

Still, Doutzen has never relied on just one or two employers, and perhaps importantly she was able to end her contract with Victoria’s Secret in 2014. She is currently the face of L’Oreal, as well as featuring prominently for Calvin Klein and appearing on the catwalk for Prada. Her net worth just keeps building.

Krues also has ambitions towards doing more acting, following her debut in the 3D movie “Nova Zembia” in 2011 and now apparently taking acting lessons

In her personal life, Doutzen Krues married DJ Sunnery James in 2010; they have a son and a daughter, and split their time between homes in Amsterdam and New York. Among her philanthropic activities, Doutzen promotes HIV and AIDS education through Dance4Life.
