Dateline: Karen Kahler and Sunny Reese Murder

Reportedly, Karen Kahler instantly fell in love with Sunny Reese, whom she met at a nearby gym. Her husband, Kraig, encouraged their lesbian relationship so that he could get some benefits out of it.

When Karen and Sunny denied his request for a threesome, she thought to divorce Kraig and move on with her lesbian lover. On the other hand, Kraig was shocked by the announcement.

Soon after New Year’s Eve, Karen filed a divorce against Kraig. Similarly, on March 16, 2009, Karen filed a complaint against Kraig where she inflicted domestic violence on her.

Kraig, however, was arrested by the police for third-degree domestic violence charges. With all of this, his ego was brutally crushed.

On Thanksgiving weekend of 2009, Kraig shot the entire family except for his son, Sean. The murder took place at Dorothy’s house (Karen’s grandmother) in Burlingame, Topeka.

James Kraig Kahler, however, was arrested the next day by Kansas Police and was convicted of capital murder and sentenced to death in August 2011.
