Chris was born to a teenage couple, and as a result was raised by his grandparents. From his earliest days, he would rather play with Barbie dolls instead of toys for boys. This all led to him wearing makeup in school, and general feminine behavior, for which he was often bullied and received death threats. To keep him safe, his grandparents hired teachers that would come to their house and teach Chris.

As he got older, Chris showed his feminine side more and more, and thought of himself as a woman as he passed his teenage years.

His career began when he became an editor of an online magazine ‘e-zine’. Encouraged by the gay community he found online, Chris started to post his videos on My Space and You Tube, and little by little the number of his followers started to increase. Before his “Leave Britney Alone”, Chris had posted over sixty videos, but none of them was as popular as the latter. Thanks to the video, Chris got on the scene, and was soon invited to appear in several talk shows, including “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, “The Howard Stern Show”, “The Today Show”, The View:, and many others. His video amassed 24 million views in total, which boosted his net worth somewhat.

Chris then branched out into music, and released his first single “Mind in the Gutter” in 2008, followed by an EP “The First Bite” on iTunes which reached No. 3 on the iTunes Electro Album charts. Several years later his second EP came out, under the title “Walls Down”, and eventually reached No. 5 on the iTunes Electronic Album chart. He was also recording his debut full-length album, however, it was never released.

Thanks to his popularity, Chris launched his career on television; he signed a contract with the 44 Blue Productions to develop a “docusoap” reality show, which will be centered around Chris and will have the title “Chris Crocker`s 15 Minutes More”.

Furthermore, Chris is also a pornographic star; he signed a contract with Chi Chi La Rue, and has made his debut for the website in 2012. Lucas entertainment released a video “Chris Crocker’s Raw Love”, which also features Chris` boyfriend at the time, Justin Dean.

Regarding his personal life, Chris had never hidden his sexuality and has always been focused on improving the lives of those in the LGBT community, even though that has resulted in death threats by straight men. He has come out in public with several of his boyfriends, most recently the singer Aaron Carter, younger brother of Nick Carter, member of the pop group Backstreet Boys.
