Captain Kori from the YouTube channel Kraken the Box is on a journey to get a heart transplant. Captain Kori is an 11-year-old YouTuber.

The young boy runs a YouTube channel called Kraken The Box, which he made to gain funds and spread the word about his terminal illness, which is cancer. The boy had made it clear that his final wish was to reach 100K subscribers on his YouTube channel.

Sadly, for some reason, YouTube decided to terminate his account rather than let him find a way to reach that goal. What’s worse is that the reasoning behind their canceling the account was very vague and not clearly understood.

The news of the Kraken, the Box channel’s termination, caused many uproars amongst other YouTubers and prominent figures on the internet, eventually leading to his channel’s reinstatement.

Captain Kori Aka Kraken The Box Heart Transplant Journey

Captain Kori from Kraken The Box heart transplant journey is a huge success. Captain Kori recently broke 200K in YouTube subscribers.

After the news of the Kraken The Box channel being terminated on YouTube became public and started gaining traction, many prominent YouTubers like Popcorned Planet started talking about the situation.

The outrage was loud because of the fact that the channel is not only run by little Kori, but it is his final wish. The fact that he is a terminal patient, alongside the channel, is one of the few things that brought him joy, and touched the hearts of the people.

Thus, when news of YouTube terminating the channel started trending, many people took to various social media sites to pour vitriol upon YouTube and its terrible actions. Despite all the negative press, YouTube did not make any mentions of the termination or even acknowledge it.

They did reinstate the account, much to everyone’s joy. Then as soon as the account was reinstated, people started subscribing to his YouTube channel in droves, and it currently stands at 206K subscribers.

Kraken The Box has seen unprecedented growth as he was only celebrating reaching 1000 subs ten days ago, 10K subs six days ago, and 100K five days ago, on December 13, 2022. In a curious twist of fate, YouTube’s termination of Kraken The Box and the resulting controversy surrounding the situation ended up turning it into a piece of bigger news which led to Kori receiving the number of subscribers he has now.

Johnny Depp Made A Make A Wish Video For Captain Kori

Captain Kori and his heart transplant journey saw a surprise when Johnny Depp called him. Johnny Depp reached out to Kori in a video.

To Kori’s surprise, not only did Johnny Depp video call Kori, but he also appeared in the video dressed as his famous character, Jack Sparrow, from the Pirates of the Caribbean series. What’s more, Depp talked to Kori in pirate-speak, the same as Jack Sparrow does in the movie series.

The call was courtesy of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which helps terminally ill children make a final wish before they pass away. The controversy surrounding Kori’s channel and its unfortunate termination reached the ears of the foundation, which in turn reached out to Depp, who was eager to help.

His phone call with Depp had many gold nuggets of conversation where Depp congratulated Kori on his endeavor, was sorry he missed most of the fuss, and stated that he would follow the channel.

Kori then made two videos on his channel where he talked about how happy he was that he got to talk to Johnny Depp and that too as Jack Sparrow. Kori stated in subsequent videos that he is a massive fan of Jack Sparrow and frequently watches the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

He stated that he watched the movies during his many heart surgeries and recovery periods and that the movies were a source of joy and comfort for him. Not only has Kori had two heart transplants but is currently in palliative care, so it is immensely sweet of Depp and the Make-A-Wish Foundation to do so much for little Kori, who probably won’t survive next year.
