Brett Alan Kern, an American football punter with the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League, was born on February 17, 1986. He attended Toledo University and played collegiate football before being selected as an undrafted free agent by the Denver Broncos in 2008.

Kern was acquired by the Titans after being released by the Broncos after less than two full seasons, and while playing for the team, he was selected for the Pro Bowl three times and was named to the All-Pro team twice.

With an 11-5 record and postseason eligibility, the Titans won the AFC South for the 2020 season. Kern had five punts totaling 228 net yards for an average of 45.6 yards in the Wild Card Round matchup with the Baltimore Ravens.

Kern was added to the Titans’ reserve/COVID-19 list on October 12, 2021. He had a groin ailment that had kept him out of the previous two games. On October 22, 2021, Kern was turned on.
