Bebe Rexha’s Bio (Age and Ethnicity)

The renowned music goddess, songwriter and record producer was born on August 30, 1989 and her name is Bleta “Bebe” Rexha. She was born in Brooklyn to Flamur Rehxa, her father, and Bukurije Rexha, her mother. Flamur is originally Albanian but moved to the United States at the age of 21, while her mother is American but was born to an Albanian parent whose roots are connected to Gostivar. Bebe is an Albanian. Flamur, Bukurije and Babe Rexha moved somewhere around Staten Island when they were six years old.

Growing up, she attended Tottenville High School and was very active in the school’s various music groups and also joined the school choir.

Bebe Rexha’s interest in music started at a very early age and she was naturally gifted with different types of vocal textures, but she is an expert at singing coloratura soprano. A self-taught instrumentalist, she played guitar and piano, but took lessons to play the trumpet. She coined her stage name Bebe from an Albanian word Blete, which means bee.

For every successful artist, there is one or two people in the industry who have either impacted their lives or serve as role models. For Babe, Cold Play, the Cranberries, Lauryn Hill, Alanis Morissette and Kanye West have influenced her musical career.

career

In her world as a successful musically inclined person, she has worked with a few other artists and has also written songs for a few others such as Selena Gomez and Nick Jonas. As a young woman, she showed her skills when she asked to have her song performed at the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences’ annual Grammy Day event. She wowed her audience and was rewarded with the Best Teen Songwriter award.

A couple of producers who were on the show asked her to sign them, but she decided to seal a deal with talent scout Samantha Cox. Samantha guided her as little as she could and later encouraged her that despite her natural gift as a songwriter, there was still a need to enroll in songwriting classes, so Bebe decided to take songwriting classes in New York.

Her career took shape when she moved to New York and it was there that she met Pete Wentz, working with him in a studio in New York. It was around this time that Pete formed a band called Black Cards, which mainly plays live shows. They also recorded several singles and remixes. As the gang progressed, Bebe managed the group as lead singer.

She then became a solo artist and worked under the record label Warner Bros. Records. She grew in her career and began writing songs for many artists, including Selena Gomez Like a Victor and the Nikki Williams song, Red Hot . Continuing to master her writing skills, she penned Eminem and Rihanna’s song, The Monster , which topped the US Billboard Hot 100 chart and Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. That’s not all, the song also won the Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Performance at the 57th Grammy Awards. Later that same year, Bebe Rexha wrote about Cash Cash’s song, Take Me Home .

She knew it was a perfect time to release her own song and made her first debut on the song. I Can’t Stop Drinking About You and later performed the song on NBC’s Today Show. The song peaked at number 22 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart.

Their songs; I’ll Show You Crazy and Away was released in December 2014 and her debut Ep, I Don’t Want to Grow Up was released the following year in the month of May. Nicki Minaj and Afrojack song Hey Mama Number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 with over 1.1 million downloads was also written by her.

In the years that followed, she worked like the very best of her kind, recently producing a song titled I’m a Mess, released on June 15, 2018.

Wealth (income and earnings)

As a very fine songwriter and composer, one would expect nothing less from an artist whose songs have sold around the world and a one-time Grammy award winner. She is currently worth $4 million.

Does she have a boyfriend or a husband?

The gifted American singer has tried everything in her capacity to avoid talks about her private life, however all her efforts have failed as we know she is currently linked to a Dutch DJ, Martin Garrix. Details on how they met aren’t yet out, but we do know that the two collaborated on the song In the Name of Love .

Bebe is quite older than Dutch as she is seven years older than him. So far there are no confirmations on their relationship, however, the two have been spotted together on various occasions.
