Ashley was raised as the oldest child of a single mom. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, meantime in order to financially help her mother and siblings, she was working as a bartender in Washington D. C.’s L2 Lounge, which is co-owned by her now husband. That’s where they first met and soon after began their relationship. Not only that this job provided the modest basis for her current net worth, but it has also changed her life.

After four years of dating, at that time 22-year old Ashley married Michael, 29 years-older. Suddenly being the wife of a millionaire as well as a step-mother to two grown up boys, one two years younger and another a year older than her, changed Ashley’s life from its very roots. Following her husband, who made his $20 million worth fortune with his Monumental Realty, Washington D.C., based real estate developing business, Ashley was introduced to a glamorous life abundant with gala dinners, fancy parties as well as lavish gifts such as a brand-new Porsche for her birthday. As a couple, the Darbys were very active and it is acknowledged that they enjoyed outdoor activities such as biking and mountain climbing.

Besides being a beauty pageant winner, Ashley Darby is also the holder of another title, the honor of being the youngest housewife in the entire “The Real Housewives” franchise’s history. She debuted on the small screen in the first season of Bravo’s reality television show “The Real Housewives of Potomac” in early 2016, but although younger and maybe less experienced than other participants, she managed to adapt well, and fit the “housewife” mould perfectly. It is certain that this engagement has been the major personal revenue source for Ashley Darby’s current net worth.

In 2015, alongside her husband, Ashley Darby moved into the catering business when she opened the first authentic Australian restaurant in Arlington, Virginia named Oz Restaurant & Bar. Doubtlessly, this venture will help Ashley Darby to further increase the overall size of her wealth.

Despite rumors that Ashley’s husband is gay, it hasn’t managed to shake their marriage, but only to apparently bring them closer to each other. As Michael stated in one of his interviews, at that point they were planning on having “at least two” children together. However, in mid- 2017 Ashley made it known that they were living separately, but still collaborating in the running of their restaurant; they are considering counselling.
