Ashley Bropho Death Case: What Happened?

Ashley James Bropho’s death occurred within the walls of Hakea Prison, a correctional facility in Western Australia.

On March 9 this year, he was discovered unresponsive in his cell, and despite attempts to revive him, he could not be saved. The circumstances surrounding his death immediately raised concerns, and authorities launched a thorough investigation to determine the cause and the responsible party.

Before his death, he had been facing charges related to indecent dealing with a child under 13 and encouraging a child to engage in sexual acts.

The charges stemmed from an incident where he lured a nine-year-old girl from a park near his home in Doubleview, Perth’s northern suburbs, in 2022. He had offered the young girl a fast-food hamburger before taking her to his residence, where he exposed himself and attempted to assault her.
