For years, former Chicago Bears linebacker and NFL Hall of Famer Brian Urlacher made the news for his unique style of play and the many recognitions that came with it. Now retired, Urlacher’s personal life such as his relationship with his ex-wife Laurie Urlacher has become an interesting topic of discussion among those who have been keeping up with his life.

During her ex-husband’s playing days Laurie mostly kept away from the media, but with Brian’s personal life now getting all the attention, many are curious to know at least a little more about the woman he was once married to. Given that, we have compiled all the things that are worth knowing about Laurie Urlacher for your reading pleasure.

Laurie Urlacher’s Early Life and Education

Laurie Urlacher’s ex-husband Brian currently lives in New Mexico and it would appear he has deep connections with the southwestern American state. For instance, both his high school and college days were spent there. Again, one of the ways he is connected to New Mexico is through Laurie who is a native of the state, particularly the city of Alburquerque, having been born there on the 12th of August, 1973.

Not much is known about Laurie’s background though. In fact, almost nothing is known about her parents and siblings (if any). But she is believed to have been raised a Christian.

The ex-wife of the former Chicago Bears linebacker is a college-educated woman. After completing her basic education at a high school in New Mexico, she enrolled at the University of New Mexico (where her ex-hubby Brian also attended). It was there that she studied and earned a bachelor’s degree, graduating in 1995. It is unknown to us what she studied and if she has worked in a professional capacity with her college certificate.

How Her Relationship With Brian Urlacher Fared

The first meeting of a couple is always an important piece of memory. For Laurie and Brian, we expected that it happened in college since they both attended the University of New Mexico; we’re wrong. From what we gathered, their first meeting happened at one of Brian’s football games in 1999. Shortly after they met for the first time, they became friends and later on, a romantic couple.

The two were together for about a year before they took their relationship to the altar on the 30th of June 2000. Their relationship looked quite healthy. During the years that they were together, they gave birth to two beautiful daughters named Pamela and Riley Urlacher. Laurie had a cordial relationship, not only with Brian but with the rest of his family. Yet, their union could not survive for 5 years.

What Happened To Their Marriage?

When celebrities get divorced, the phrase ‘irreconcilable differences’ is often used as the reason for their divorce. While it is usually used in place of the real reason for the divorce, sometimes it is actually the truth. Based on the information available to the public, Laurie Urlacher and Brian separated because they did not know each other very well. Eventually, the differences became an insurmountable problem for their marriage.

However, there were also allegations that Brian cheated on Laurie; with counter-allegations suggesting that Laurie was not supportive of his football career. They got a relatively amicable divorce in 2004, just four years into the marriage.

As a result, there is little to no information about her professional career and details about her personal life.

Is She Dating Anyone?

While Laurie’s ex-husband Brian Urlacher has jumped back on the marriage wagon with former America’s Next Top Model contestant Jennipher Frost, a report suggests Laurie does not plan on going back to the altar. In any case, this does not mean that the Albuquerque-born ex-wife of the former pro-footballer has not been seeing someone. As we write this, she is reportedly in a relationship with a certain Vince Hartmann, whom she started dating sometime in April 2019.

Has she dated anyone else before this? Well, we would have loved to tell you something in this regard but it is unknown if she had any relationship before dating Vince.
