Learn About Umar Khalid Rumored Girlfriend Banojyotsna Lahiri

Banojyotsna Lahiri is the girlfriend of Indian activist Umar Khalid. She is a sociology researcher, consultant, and lecturer located in Delhi. In 2014, she received her Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University.

She has been featured in publications such as Outlook, The Wire, Newsclick.in, and The Woke Journal. According to Hindustan Times, Lahiri has been linked to United Against Hate, a citizen movement that emerged in 2017 in response to mob lynchings.

She said that the reports of alleged surveillance attacks followed a pattern, with most of them targeting dissenters.

Moreover, she is also one of the supporters of Umar, who is currently in jail. Khalid was arrested by Delhi Police under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) for allegedly making a “provocative speech” during former American President Donald Trump’s visit to India.

The Delhi Police Department accused him of encouraging and instigating the Delhi riots of 2020. As a result, he was detained by the Delhi Police Special Cell on September 14, 2020, as a suspected conspirator in the Delhi Riots investigation.

Is Banojyotsna Lahiri Pregnant With A Child?

Rumors of Banojyotsna Lahiri getting pregnant with a child is viral on the internet. However, these are just false claims, and it seems Lahiri is a victim in all of these.

In the recent tweet, she complained that a woman circulated misinformation about her, which allegedly assassinated her character. The twee has since been deleted, but netizens’ response clearly indicates that someone deliberately said that she was pregnant.

However, some people responded by saying that she was pregnant if her partner had been in jail for the last two years. Some even mocked her, saying if she got pregnant online.
